John Shackelford, Chief Executive Officer, SCOA
Mr. Shackelford’s twenty-eight years of healthcare experience include positions as Director of Finance and Business Development for Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles, Administrator of the Heart Institute at Good Samaritan (then the largest cardiovascular services program in California), and Chief Executive Officer positions in two of California’s premier cardiology groups.
He has consulted extensively in physician practice management, and specialty physician network development and management. In focusing on these areas, Mr. Shackelford has developed a highly specialized area of expertise in contracting strategy development for all managed care contract negotiations, including proposed covered services, capitation rates and service area development
Mr. Shackelford received his Bachelor’s Degree in English from the J. William Fullbright College at the University of Arkansas and his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane University in New Orleans. While at Freeman, his studies focused on finance, marketing and strategic planning in the healthcare industry.
Srin Vishwanath, Chief Financial Officer, SCOA
Srin Vishwanath is co-founder and CEO of Greenwave Health Technologies a leading oncology-focused physician practice management, data management, and IT services company based in Southern California. Greenwave Health Technologies expertise is in providing the tools and expertise for physician groups to enhance and maximize practice revenue. Greenwave manages one of the largest single specialty networks in the country, Southern California Oncology Associates (SCOA). SCOA manages a population of over 500,000 health plan members. Srin has had extensive experience in managed care and developing services that better integrate physicians and the payer community.
Prior to founding Greenwave, Srin was the Director of Business Development at City of Hope National Medical Center. He started his career in HCA as a strategic planning analyst.
Srin received his BA in Economics from UC Berkeley and MHA from Tulane University.
Elizabeth A. Suarez, Vice President Operations, SCOA
Ms. Suarez has more than twenty-six years of experience in business operations and healthcare management, having spent the past eighteen years in various levels of management in the healthcare industry.
Her experience includes management positions in a large medical oncology group and a practice management organization. In addition to achieving certification in medical service coding, she has proven expertise in billing and collections for physician groups and outpatient specialty services.
Ms. Suarez was educated in the Philippines. She received her B.A. in English from the University of the East, and Bachelor of Laws from Far Eastern University.
